I envisioned releasing this blog on my 28th birthday. Reality—I’ve since rounded the corner with 29 about a month away. Perfectionism defined is the “refusal to accept any standard short of perfection.” As someone who is plagued with this mindset it’s hard to achieve goals or reach deadlines when you never feel the end result is complete. We could also talk about how you feel when you don’t reach the deadline, but that’s a rabbit hole we don’t need to tumble down.
So with that in mind…It’s easy to see why 28 came and went and this blog is just now making an appearance. In fact, it would probably be closer to 30 if I hadn’t decided to tell my perfectionist self to “take a hike.” Despite some serious unfinished aspects I’m releasing it anyways. You may notice if you peruse a bit that not all the links work, some spots might be missing pictures, or don’t look quite the way I’ve intended. Rebelling against my perfectionism, I’m pressing go and releasing the site “as is.” One day I’m sure it will match my vision and be “perfect,” then again maybe not.
As a photographer I’m accustomed to having a web and social media presence. However, this personal blog is to share a more—dare I say—personal aspect of my life and things I love outside the world of photography. That’s not to say this blog won’t benefit from my day job. You can expect a fairly nice array of images as sometimes I am better at communicating with a camera. One of the truly great loves of my life is Travel. More than anything this site is to document my adventures and wanderings, but you can also expect some pictures of my dog, family and friends, or randomness to creep into the mix.

So without further ado, I welcome you to my new little spot in the web universe. Greetings!
